This milemarker was on The Sparows Herne Tunpike Road of 1792. Called Sparrows Herne Trust after a road in Chalfont. Mile markers in heart of oak in 1764, then sometime in 1880s were changed to mileposts manufactured by R. Barrett to a model based on those on the Bath Road. Sparrows Herne Trust was one of the few trusts to change to metal mileposts so late in the life of the trust.
