Description

A medieval well 1.4m in diameter and at least 1.15m deep was recorded during a watching brief carried out by Thames Valley Archaeological Services in June 2014 during groundworks for a new double garage. A single sherd of late 11th to mid 13th century pottery and a horse tooth were recovered from the backfill of the well. See report for detail (B5).
