Description

Geo-archaeological evaluation (geophysical survey, viewshed analysis, surface observation and fieldwalking) in November 2009 by Oxford University's PADMAC Unit to assess the potential for Palaeolithic deposits and finds in advance of brickearth extraction concluded that there was no evidence for Palaeolithic occupation at the site. Fieldwalking recovered 13 struck flints and 1 hammerstone of Neolithic or Bronze Age date. See report for detail (B1).
