Description

Roman quarry, at least 7.15m wide and 1.42m deep, was identified in Trench 1. Roman pottery was recovered from its lower fill and late 11th century pottery was recovered from its later backfill. A ditch in Trench 2, was 1.02m deep and flared from 2m wide to 4m wide. Roman pottery recovered from its fill. (B1)
