Description
PLOT 1-Revetting wall at the southern end of the terrace, aligned NW-SE. Two bricks thick, and survived to at least eight courses high (0.68m).
Former hedgelines were represented by two roughly perpendicular, slightly irregular linear features. Upto 4m wide and 0.40m deep. Stoneware bottles recoverd from their fills.
A series of 7 pits were defined. The circular pits were 1-2m in diameter. The oval pits were larger, 3-4.50m wide. Late 19th century to mid 20th century pottery and glass was recovered from the 2 excavated pits.
PLOT 2- A series of perpendicular ditches. The NE-SW aligned ditch was traced for at least 45m. It was parallel to the terrace wall and the stable block further to the north (B1).
