Description

Within the very substantial, semi-circular, probable prehistoric lynchet is a field named 'Inkum Wick'. The etymology of 'Wyke' or 'Wick' placenames is the a small settlement or dwelling from the Old English 'Wic'. This may indicate an early medieval settlement here (B1).
