Type and Period (1)

  • WINDMILL MOUND (Medieval to Post-Medieval - 1066 AD? to 1798 AD?)

Description

A possible windmill mound is visible as an earthwork on LiDAR, surrounded by a very shallow ditch. Now covered by trees. Not necessarily the right location for a windmill mound (relatively low-lying ground near to a river), so other interpretations are also possible. Cuts earlier ridge and furrow. (B1)
