Description

A number of features not identified by geophysics survey were identified in Trench 9. Five pits were excavated several containing post-medieval pottery. Size and shape of several of these features has led to them being interpreted as quarry pits. Ditch [911]… had virtical edges and a flat base. The upper fill cointained two sherds of post-medieval pottery. (1)
