Description

High Wycombe station opened in 1906. The original cutting of the old Wycombe railway from Maidenhead was widened. Extensive work was done to rebuild the platforms. A massive wall was rebuilt to support the hillside opposite the down platform (B1).

Beyond the station was the goods depot, capable of holding almost 200 wagons of timber and coal required for furniture manufacture (B2).
