Description

Remains of a brick-built structure at least 2m X 1m with internal concrete floor were identified by John Moore Heritage Services in April or May 2012 during groundworks for a new soakaway at Ferry Nab. The building may be shown on the 1973 OS map and is interpreted as a partly underground WWII air raid shelter for Ferry Nab. See report for detail (B3).
