Description

19th century detached building, now used as a butchers. Prominently situated close to the road edge, the building is a focal point within the village. Constructed of buff brick with red brick dressings including string courses and arched lintels to windows. Shallow pitch slate roof and brick end stack to left hand side. To right in a shallow gable range which accommodates the ground floor shop window. Ground floor of this range is encased in an open timber porch with a slate roof. The building is unique within the village in terms of its function and also in terms of its use of buff coloured bricks as
the main construction material.This is a Local Building of Note within the Conservation Area of Padbury. (B1)
