Description

19th century former chapel now converted to domestic dwelling. Constructed of brick with gable slate roof. Prominently positioned gable in street scene, orientated gable onto the road. Principal elevation consists of central arched doorway flanked by double height lancet windows, with smaller lancet located above door. Small stone plaque in apex of roof reads Wesleyan 1876. Important because externally it retains some of its historic features, a strong element of its former ecclesiastical character and is also significant due to the role it played within the social history of the village. This is a local building of note within the Conservation Area of Padbury (B1).
