Description

Once the home of Eustace H. Wilding. His wife Essie was the daughter of Asher Wertheimer, a wealthy Jewish art dealer, and friend of the famous portrait painter, John Singer Sargent. There are several of Sargent’s portraits of the family including one set at Wexham Place. Unfortunately it does not show the building, only a balustrade in the grounds. This is a building of note within the Conservation area of Stoke Poges West End. (B1)
