Description

C19; only surviving lodge to Wilton Park, one of the three great estates surrounding the town and an important mansion which was demolished in the 1960s. It is a gateway building standing at the head of London Road and retains its boundary railings. Half-timbered, similar style to lodges at Cliveden. Clay tiled roof with gable facing the A40 with oriel window and a gablet. Its tall chimney is a dominant feature. An eyecatching building in a prominent position. This is a local building of note within the Conservtation Area of Beaconsfield Old Town. (B1)
