Description

A memorial stone in a relatively modern building. Formerly, the stone was located to the rear of the post office in the High Street and believed to have been relocated due to the redevelopment of the area and the construction of a new memorial centre. The stone tablet is now located on the wall of the committee room high way up the west wall. In good condition. The original hall was designed by Mr E G Theakston, architect, and consturcted by H J Wright, builder. Captain Ivor Stewart Liberty opened the hall on 13 October 1921.
