Description

An inscribed portland stone semicircular seat to commemorate Alfred Fane Peers Fane who was killed in action 1942. (Ref: 1)

Fane was a pre-war racing driving driver and according to a 1993 report, his relatives have arranged for the seat to be relocated and re-erected at Brands Hatch. This is not confirmed and the seat has been mapped at Hedsor being the original location.
