Description

An oak lectern with deep relief carving on side panels comprising an English rose on one side and oak and acorns on the other. Commemorates 5 parishioners who were killed in action during WW1. The craftsmen were Mr Guy Pemberton (architect) and Webster and Cannon (woodcarver). The lectern was dedicated by the Rev V L Whitechurch and unveiled by Mr John Ellis both on 19th February 1922. Although no longer in use, the church remains consecrated and has been cared for since 1973 by the Churches Conservation Trust (B1).
