Description

A slate plaque with Portland stone backboard commemorates Captain Lionel William Crouch of the 1st Battalion Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. Killed in actiion at the Battle of the Somme on 21 July 1916. Capt Crouch was also a solicitor and Deputy Clerk of the Peace. There is a badge of the Bucks Battalion above the inscription. Plaque and backboard are in good condition.
