Description
A set of three bronze plaques two of which bear the names of the war dead and one the inscription. Formerly placed in a garden on the corner of the High Street and Walton Road, across from the location of the former works. Road alterations and the construction of a roundabout in 1969 and the plaques were relocated to the company building. The building was then sold and the plaques were placed in the reception of Hazell Brooks Ltd, Tring Road. They were subsequently relocated to a private garage in 1989 pending the completion of the new TA Centre, Oxford Road. Relocated again 2005 to the front entrance of the new TA Centre, Oxford Road. Unveiled on 20 May 1920 by the Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire and rededicated in May 2005 by HRH The Princess Royal (B2).
