A watching brief conducted during the excavation of trial trenches across the historic line of a lakeside path to the north side of the Eleven Acre Lake at Stowe Landscape Gardens. The gravel surfaced path was located in all but one of the trenches and the line of the path corresponded well with the route shown on contemporary maps (B1).
