Description

A triangular headed wooden board with inlaid silver crucifix above the inscription of roll of honour. The board is oak and measures 950mm (h) and 500mm (w). Both are in good condition. The monument commemorates 27 local people who died on active service during WW1 and WW2 (B1).
A stained glass window dedicated to Captain Charles Harold Bass of the 3rd Lancashire Fusiliers, killed in the retreat from Mons in August 1914. Photographs and details from the roll of honour (B2-3).
