These commemorate the 23 people who died in WW1 and the 7 in WW2. The recreation ground and associated components were designed by Mr Clough Williams-Ellis, architect and constructed by Messrs Newman and Harper, builders. The memorial was unveiled by the Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire and opened by Lady Smyth on 12 November, 1922 (B1).
