Description
First World War English tank. Blew up while being broken up on 25 June 1929. Further details Viney, Elliott and Nightingale: 'Old Aylesbury'. (B1).
The First World War German tank was placed in the centre of Kingsbury on 24th March 1920, having been given to the town by the National War Savings Committee (B4).
A 30-ton German tank captured during the First World War. In June 1929 there was an explosion when two men were using blow-torches to dismantle the tank. [See caption to photo on p44 for further details] (B5).
