Description

Watching brief carried out by Thames Valley Archaeological Services in May 2011 during groundworks for house extensions identified a thin buried soil layer containing 3 sherds of late 16th to 17th century pottery. No other finds or features were identified as the site had been heavily disturbed with up to 1.4m thick modern make-up deposits (B1).
2 ditches and a pit of late post-medieval to modern date identified during single trench evluation (B2).
