Description

WOODEN PLAQUE IN THE FORM OF A TRIPTYCH WITH INSET CALVARY: CHRIST CRUCIFIED WITH MARY (?) AND MARY MAGDALENE (?) MOURNING. NAMES ON INSIDE OF DOORS. MEASURES 1.52M BY 2.23M AND 6.5M IN DEPTH. COMMEMORATES STEWKLEY WAR DEAD IN WW1 (1914-1918) AND WW2 (1939-1945). DEDICATED BY THE ARCHDEACON OF OXFORD ON 23 MAY 1922. IN GOOD CONDITION.(B1)
