Description

Altar cloth made from the wedding dress of the sister of the two dead soldeirs. Panels on either side of the cloth depict two angels, representing the two dead soldiers and human hairs from the mother and sister of the dead men are interwoven into the embroidery of the two angels.
MEMORIAL COMMEMORATES CAPTAIN B A SMITH-MASTERS MC AND LT G A SMITH-MASTERS, SONS OF THE REVD JE SMITH-MASTERS VICAR OF STEWKLEY 1906-1915. BOTH WERE KILLED IN WW1 (1914-1918). USED INFREQUENTLY (B2).
