Description
Stone Maltese cross mounted on an octangonal pillar,and surrounded by a four stepped plinth base. The memorial was biult by Messrs Axtel & Son and unveiled in June 1925 to commemorate those killed in WW1 - the names of those killed in WW2 being added later. There is no record of the authority responsible for the memorial (B1).

Grade II. First World War memorial, unveiled 1925, with Second World War additions. Reasons for Designation: Historic interest - As an eloquent witness to the tragic impact of world events on this local community, and the sacrifice it has made in the conflicts of the C20; Architectural interest - As an elegant Latin cross memorial with finely carved details (B3).
