Description

Trial trenching carried out by John Moore Heritage Services in July 2011 revealed two backfilled quarry pits of 18th or 19th century date. A former pond to the south, shown on the 1st edition 25-inch OS map may also have used an old quarry pit. See report for detail (B1).
