Description

NECK OF DOUBLE-MOUTHED JUG; FRAGMENT OF RIM OF URN. FOUND IN BALLAST HOLE, SWANBOURNE STATION.DONATED TO BCM BY REV M W MYRES (B1). THE DISUSED PIT, CENTRED AT NGR, IS PARTLY BACK FILLED & FLOODED. NO FURTHER FINDS REPORTED LOCALLY (B2).



(SP 800293) Two fragments of Romano-British pottery from the Ballast Pit near Swanbourne Station. In Bucks County Museum Acc No's 5 and 6.10 (B3).
The disused pit, centred SP 796290, is partly back filled and flooded. No further finds reported locally (B4).
