Description

Dimensions - Length 17m, Width 10m.
Plan Form - Subrectangular.
Grade II. Pair of houses, formerly one. Late C16, altered C18 and C19. Some timber-framing inside. Exterior now brick,irregular thin brick to lower walls at front of 3 right hand bays, C18 first floor band course, C18-C19 chequer brick to first floor. Left bay is C19 addition with no band course. Old tile hipped roof. 4 rebuilt brick chimney stacks with square shafts set diagonally on bases with moulded dentils. Each shaft has off-set dentil head. Stacks to left and to rear right each have 2 shafts, the latter on external stone base. Stacks to centre front and rear each have 3 shafts, diagonal flanking rectangular. 2 storeys, 4 bays. C20 3-light leaded casements. Lobby entry to centre has 2 doors in C20 gabled brick porch. Right-hand corner has arched brick buttress, small brick barn with tiled roof attached to left. NB; Early C16, rebuilt C17 & then rebuilt almost entirely of brick (B1).
Negative evaluation carried out in farmyard by Archaeological Services and Consultancy Ltd in July 2003 (B5).
