A post-medieval windmill mound is visible on historic aerial photographs as cropmarks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located in a field about 190 metres ESE of Burston Hill Farm and centred at SP 83500 18555, a roughly circular pit is about 6.7 metres in diameter and is surrounded by a subcircular mound from 16 metres up to 19 metres in diameter at its widest point. Visible as earthworks on aerial; photographs taken in 1948, the remains of the windmill mound were levelled, but appear to be in the process of being plough-levelled by 1954. By 1976, the features were visible as cropmarks. On aerial photographs taken in 2023, the cropmarks remain just visible (5-9).
