PROBABLE FISHPOND (B8).
A probable medieval fishpond is visible on historic aerial photographs as an earthwork and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located about 125 metres SE of St James Church and centred at SP 83727 15201, a parallel side ditch is about 41 metres SW-NE and 10 metres NW-SE, with rounded ends, which has been identified as a probable fishpond. Visible on aerial photographs taken in 1976, by 1993 new residential housing had been constructed on the site and the fishpond is no longer visible (9-11).
