S OF LOWER BURSTON HOUSE LIES TERRACING/BANKS - GARDEN OF LEE FAMILY'S FORMER HOUSE (B9).
MR LEIGH'S GOODLY HOUSE, WITH ORCHARDES (B1 (1847)).
NGR TO CENTRE OF DMV/PARK (B9).
A rapid examination of air photography shows earthworks visible south, west and north of Lower Burston Farm, being most definite to the south. Possibly the remains of a Post Medieval garden (B11).
EARTHWORKS INDICATING FORMAL GARDEN ASSOCIATED WITH C17 MANOR. SYMMETRICAL LAYOUT OF PLANTED AREAS, DRAINAGE SYSTEM & WALKWAYS (B10).
