CHIPPED AXE FOUND BY MISSES D J AND A HEMBROW DURING THE DIGGING OF A DRAIN AT GARAGE ENTRANCE. FOUND AT ABOUT 45CM DEPTH IN CLAY (B1-2). PRESENTED TO BCM (B3).
(SP 87000360) Neolithic flint axe from Cobblershill Farm, found when digging a drain. In possession of Misses D J and A Hembrow, Dellfield, Pednor, Nr Chesham. (B4)
The axe is still in the possession of Mrs Hembrow and was found at SP 86960361 in spoil from a ditch; the findspot being indicated on OS 6" (B5).
