A PARK WAS IN EXISTENCE HERE 1467 - BELONGED TO EARL OF KENT. IN THAT YEAR 17S 9D SPENT ON THE LODGE IN THE PARK. MENTIONED IN 1504. MAY HAVE BEEN SITUATED TO E OF VILLAGE WHERE MODERN MAP SHOWS 'PARK FARM' (SP917311)(B5). MANOR STANDS IN EXTENSIVE GROUNDS - IDENTICAL WITH C13 PARK? NGR TO MANOR (B2-3).
