2 PARALLEL DITCHES 4M APART & EARTH PILED BETWEEN. TRACED FOR 40M ACROSS SITE; PROBABLY EXTENDED BEYOND. RAN PARALLEL TO WALTON ST. MADE OF SOIL CAPPED WITH SMALL LIMESTONE. THIS WAS THE EARLIEST OF A GROUP OF SUBSTANTIAL BOUNDARIES. FINDS FROM DITCH ON W; COIN (0093:03:13), POTTERY, METALWORK (B1).
