Description

POTTERY HORN, BROKEN AT BOTH ENDS. ROUNDED LOOP FOR SUSPENSION; HARD WHITE/BUFF FABRIC, GOOD QUALITY SPECKLED GREEN GLAZE WITH SPIRAL INTERNAL RILLING (CF JOPE IN 'OXONIENSIA' 17/18, P221 'POTTERY HORN FROM THAMES AT GODSTOW'. FOUND WHEN CLEARING OUT LARGE POND ON F. H. PARROT'S PROPERTY (B1).
