Description

PIECE OF TESSELATED PAVING FOUND ON SURFACE OF PLOUGHED FIELD BY MR P WESTELL SEPT 1943. MARBLE TESSERAE IN CEMENT (B1).
Roman villa gazetteer no BU 26 (B7)


Tesselated paving found by Mr. Westell in September, 1943, at the south end of Whorley Wood (B3).
Indications of a rectangular enclosure on A.P.s.at SP 83460535 (B5).
A perambulation of the south end of Whorley Wood proved negative and nothing of interest was seen in the area of the AP soil marking, though the field has been newly ploughed! (B4).
