1086 RALPH HELD IT OF WILLIAM FITZ ANSCULF. NEXT CENTURY DESCENT LOST. BY END C12 IN HANDS OF RICHARD, SON OF WILLIAM. C15 MUST HAVE PASSED TO POLES AS 1479 GEOFFREY POLE DIED SIESED. 1539-40 REVERTS TO CROWN, SOLD TO BALDWIN. PASSES DOWN TO PACKINGTONS WHO HELD IT TILL SOLD TO RUSSELLS 1770 (B2).
