Description

FROM PRIMARY SILTING OF DITCH CAME FRAGS OF BELGIC BUTT-BEAKER & (FROM THE FLOOR OF THE DITCH) A RED DISH GIRTH BEAKER - PROBABLY AN IMPORT. FROM SECONDARY SILTING CAME FURTHER BELGIC SHERDS. POTTERY WAS WHEEL-TURNED & SIMILAR TO THAT AT PRAE WOOD, ST ALBANS, DATING DITCH TO EARLY C1 AD OR BEFORE (B1,B9-10).
