Dimensions - Radius 1500 cm Height 0110
Plan Form - SUBCIRCULAR
BATTLE MIGHT HAVE BEEN FOUGHT IN THE VICINITY & DEAD INTERRED UNDER THIS HILLOCK OR TUMULUS. APPEARANCE IS THAT OF ANCIENT BARROW (B1).
MUCH DENUDED (B2).
APPEARANCE OF PLOUGHED DOWN BOWL BARROW (B3).
SLIGHTLY ELONGATED TO S WHERE IT IS TRUNCATED BY HEDGE-LINE & DITCH (B6).
SCHEDULED (B7).
Limited contour survey undertaken by Dave Went in February 1995 suggests monuments size is 25m across and mound is a maximum height of 0.9m. The mound is bisected by a modern ditch and roadside verge on the southern side (B8).
