Description

COARSE WARE SHERDS WITH CRUSHED FLINT GRITS. 1 SHERD WITH APPLIED THUMB PRESSED DECORATION, 1 WITH RAISED CARINATED DECORATION (B1-2).
(TQ 021825) Middle Bronze Age sherds were found in 1963 by C Stanley in a trench in the road at Wood Lane. TQ 022825 (B2).
MR C STANLEY LOCATES FINDSPOT ON 6-INCH MAP, AT NGR (B3) .
At Wood Lane, Iver, some middle Bronze Age potsherds were found in a trench by the road. No further information is known about these finds (B4.)


Three MBA sherds, held by Bucks Co Museum (Acc No 63.64), were found as described, opposite 'White Lodge' (B5).
Mr C Stanley could not confirm the amount of pottery found, but was able to indicate the location of the trench on the OS 6" at TQ 02118250. Find date June 1963 (B6 and B7).
