Description
Grade II. Stable attached to farmhouse, probably C18, timber-framed with weatherboard cladding. Plain tile roof. Stable, attached to left, has loft and is of 2 bays: left bay has stable door, and slatted window on left; loft door on right; roof hipped at left end. Interior: timber frame is cruder than that of the house, having unjowelled wall posts, 2 collared queen-post roof trusses, clasped purlins, and pegged rafters; rear aisle addition covers original weatherboarding; cobble floor, board wainscote, and hay rack to former stalls on left (B1).
All references to stable removed from amended listing description of the farmhouse. Building demolished?
The stables were demolished in about January 1991 (see report)(B2).
