Description

No. 4, Manor Street is very different in character and is altogether more flamboyant in its appearance, compared to 1-3 Manor Street. Extending to three storeys in height, no. 4 presents a tile clad gable elevation to the street that overhangs at first and second floor levels. The building has a distinct Arts and Crafts character that recalls Edward Swinfen Harris' additions to 11, Castle Street and The Coach House and makes a positive and unusual contribution to the streetscape. This is a local building of note within the Conservation Area of Buckingham (B1).
