Description
19th century former rectory designed by well known local architect E. Swinfen Harris. Brick, two and and a half storeys with steeply pitched tiled roof and prominent chimney. Irregular fenestration with stone dressings. Due to scale and situation close to the church it is a visually prominent building which makes a strong architectural statement and positive contribution to the character and appearance of the village. This is a local building of note within the Conservation Area of Maids Moreton (B1).
Assessed by English Heritage for inclusion in designated list but judged not to meet the national criteria required for listing. See assessment report for additional details of building and discussion of significance (B2).
