Westlington is first mentioned in legal documents in 1384 (B2).
Westlington is the largest hamlet in Dinton parish, and lies to the west of the grounds of Dinton Hall (B3).
'West Dynton' and later 'Westlington' is marked on OS maps from about 1813 onwards (B4).
