Conservation Area designated on 19th August 1989 and reviewed on 5th March 2008. See appraisal (B1).
NGR to centre of hamlet.
Westlington is first mentioned in legal documents in 1384 (B2).
Westlington is the largest hamlet in Dinton parish, and lies to the west of the grounds of Dinton Hall (B3).
'West Dynton' and later 'Westlington' is marked on OS maps from about 1813 onwards (B4).
