Description

First recorded in Domesday Book, with further references in the 12th, 13th, 15th, and 16th centuries (B1).
Hollingdon lies in the west of Soulbury parish. There are here a few 17th-century houses, among them Hill Farm, a half-timbered building, now plastered in front, of two stories with a thatched roof; and Clayhill Farm, another half-timbered house with thatched roof (B2).
'Dark Hollington' and 'Upper Hollington', later 'Hollingdon', is marked on OS maps from 1812 onwards (B3).
