Description
Conservation Area designated in 1989. See Conservation Area Character Survey for detail (B1).
The civil parish of Princes Risborough contains the hamlets of Longwick, Lacey Green, Looseley Row, and Speen. A chapel of St. John the Evangelist was built at Lacey Green early in the 19th century. It was consecrated by the Bishop of Lincoln in 1825. The hamlet, with Looseley Row and Speen, was formed into an ecclesiastical parish in 1851 (B2).
Lacey Green is marked on OS maps from 1812 onwards (B3).
Lacey Green is first mentioned in legal documents in 1766 (B4).
