Description

Conservation Area designated in 1989 and reviewed in 1998 (B1).
Frieth, with St. John's Church, a chapel of ease to Hambleden Church, a parsonage, village hall and school, is 3 miles north-east of Hambleden. To the north-west of it is Little Frieth, with a few outlying cottages (B2).
Frieth is first mentioned in legal documents in about 1307 (B3).
