  • BOUNDARY DITCH (Post-Medieval to Modern - 1540 AD? to 1999 AD?)

Description

The watchig brief recorded six undated ditches, five aligned north-east south-west and one east-west, of which one might correspond with a ditch of Romano-British date that was recorded in the previous archaeological evaluation within Trench 9…The remaining ditches were interpreted as field boundaries/drainage ditches. These are undated, but it is likely that they date to the post-medieval period or later (B1).
